The Termo Palermo power Project, is being developed by ININCORP of Houston, Texas.
The Termo Palermo project is the tool to be available and utilized by the generation agents in the Colombian electric sector, for back up and support of the Firm Energy Obligations (OEF/ENFICC) committed with XM, since today there is no available capacity back up un committed to XM.
Termo Palermo will be installed in Palermo (Sitio Nuevo) Magdalena, near the city of Barranquilla, in the north east bank of the Magdalena river. Termo Palermo will have an installed capacity of 420 MW, and will use IFO 380 and Diesel No. 6 as primary fuels.
The turbine generators are Westinghouse 501, and will be up and running by the end of 2011.
The qualified operator of Termo Palermo is PIC MARUBENI ENERGY GROUP, under a contract with a 92% availability factor.
